Remi Harris is a performer, choreographer, curator, producer, and arts professional specializing in dance and performance. She believes art is a transformative vehicle that brings people and communities together, combining a cross-disciplinary perspective with an intuitive sensibility and a deep love for developing art-based relationships.

Throughout her creative career, Remi has always found deep joy in organizing the logistical aspects of performance, prioritizing artists with the support and resources to develop their work and thrive creatively. As a nonprofit leader and advocate, she works to advance a more just, equitable, and inclusive arts ecosystem to foster sustainability and develop art-based relationships in underrepresented communities.

As the Founder and Artistic Director of dbrprojects since 2007, Remi's NYC-based creative platform manifests through movement direction, choreography, site-specific work, movement for video, performance installations, art programming, and creative producing. In 2018, she co-founded the performance collective JoyFlux with dance maker Mark Schmidt. Their collaborative work addresses physical, aesthetic, and sociopolitical concerns, including the value of collaboration, community activation, and spaces designed by and for Queer people and people of color.
